Abstract

The exhibition of approximately 52 works surveyed the prints produced by this respected Australian artist. Included were his first surviving etchings from 1922 up to the more recent lithographs The Caloola Suite of 1980. Much of Lloyd Rees' printed work is relatively unknown to the public. This collection provided a unique opportunity to assess this artist in his little publicised role as printmaker. (blurb).
