Abstract
"The Woodcut in Japan was introduced towards the end of the 17th century as a popular art form, which emerged with the new city of Edo (Tokyo). The Ukiyo-e prints in this exhibition included examples of recorded moments of passing events and the ever-changing scenes of daily life in addition to the famous beauties, actors of the Kabuki and the wrestlers."
