Abstract

We’re off to an exciting start of the year - as we celebrate Four Decades of Australian Print Workshop.

To mark this significant milestone we have planned a special program of celebratory activities and new initiatives including exhibitions, print projects and artist scholarships.

This achievement provides a framework for the future and an opportunity to reflect on APW's rich and proud history.....with so many beautiful original prints created by so many talented artists through so many programs and projects. We’ve researched APW’s extensive archive collection of workshop proofs to find works you may not have seen before and have curated a series of four exhibitions to showcase key works created by some of the many artists who have produced work at the APW.

The exhibition features original prints by: Davida Allen, Brook Andrew, Benjamin Armstrong, Del Kathryn Barton, Martin Bell, Arthur Boyd, Jazmina Cininas, Noel Counihan, Heri Dono, Emily Floyd, Graham Fransella, Shaun Gladwell, Barbara Hanrahan, Richard Harding, Julia Harman, Euan Heng, Shane Jones, Lily Karadada, William Kelly, Deborah Klein, Richard Lewer, Sian Marlow, Laith McGregor, Lewis Miller, Chris O’Doherty (aka Reg Mombassa), Emmet O'Dwyer, Geoffrey Ricardo, Robert Rooney, Gareth Sansom, Pijaju Peter Skipper, Jeffrey Smart, Mervyn Street, Deborah Walker, Thornton Walker, Judy Watson and Peter Wegner.
