APW Gallery is open this Sunday 13 February 11am - 5pm.

This Sunday - Gertrude Street, Fitzroy is the location for a special Melbourne Pride street party. This major 1-day festival delivered by Midsumma commemorates the 40th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexuality in Victoria.

To coincide with Melbourne Pride, APW has commissioned local artist Richard Harding to create a site-specific installation in APW’s Gertrude Street facing windows. Featuring works produced at APW in 1996, Harding’s series of woodcuts use colours from the rainbow flag as a backdrop to representations of gay life from the mid-1990s. Richard Harding’s installation can be viewed 24/7 until 14 March 2022.
