Abstract

Clearly the most important of the exhibitions presented by the Gallery was a collection of early prints, drawings and watercolours of the State's colonial days, which also embraced exhibits pertaining to the Bi-Centenary Celebrations of Captain Cook's landing in Botany Bay. The Board is especially grateful to private collectors, the Library Board of Western Australia and the Western Australian Museum for their generosity in the loan of works for this exhibition.
