Abstract

"This exhibition, derived solely from the Gallery's holdings of Japanese art, displayed the whole tsuba collection and our ninety-five best woodblock prints. The Gallery's two beautiful Japanese screens were also included in the exhibition which proved to be very popular". (blurb). The Japanese prints were from the permanent collection. The Tsuba from the collection of John and Geraldine Halls, gifted to the Art Gallery of South Australia.
