Abstract

After completing an Australia Council Barcelona Studio Residency in 2005, Kim Demuth was inspired to return in 2008, this time on foot to embark upon a 900km pilgrimage across the Northern regions of Spain (‘El Camino de Santiago’). After completing the walk, he spent the following year constructing sculptural photographs that celebrate particular times and places from the experiences and discoveries that the journey had provided.
