Biography
JENNIFER ROGERS, born 1945. Jennifer Rogers studied in Printed Textile Design at RMIT, followed by later studies in Education and Printmaking at QUT and the University of South Australia. Her work involves interpretation of the littoral landscape in relation to the life it supports; the rich variety of interdependent vegetation, insects, animals and birdlife which depend on healthy environments, using the mediums of both relief and intaglio techniques. Rogers takes part in group exhibitions at the Australian Print Workshop in Melbourne and is represented by PG Printmaker Gallery in Fitzroy Melbourne. She participates in the biannual Compact Prints with Umbrella Studio Townsville, exhibits with Impress Printmakers Studio Brisbane, Maryborough Printmakers and tours her work with the Society of Wood Engravers in the United Kingdom. Recently she participated in the Bimblebox Project as well as the Australia/ New Zealand Overwintering Project exhibitions. Rogers has work in the public collections of Griffith University, Australian National Gallery as well as private collections in Australia and Europe. [Impress Printmakers, 2019].
