Biography
Son of John Cleveley [the elder], brother of the twins John and Robert Cleveley. He was employed as carpenter on board the Resolution under Captain Cook (third voyage), and produced sketches at the time. These were later worked up into finished drawings and oil paintings by his brother John, who arranged for their engraving and publication.
