Biography

Ronald Bence

Born in Bombay, India in 1937, Ronald Arthur Bence arrived in Australia in 1939. His early studies were at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, and from 1957 to 1960 he continued tuition at the National Gallery School, Melbourne and with George Bell. Between 1961 and 1966 he studied printmaking at the Central School of Arts and Crafts, London while working as a fine-art bronze caster. He has travelled extensively in Europe, USA and Africa. He exhibits prints, paintings and sculpture.
