Biography

Richard Baldwin is an Australian Photographer, Printmaker, Glass Artist and Painter who has exhibited internationally. He is a graduate of the Photomedia Workshop at the ANU, Canberra School of Art and Design. Richard has been an active member of the Bitumen River Artist’s Collective in Canberra and Blatant Image, creating screen prints at the Byron Bay Community Centre. Richard’s early work explored ideas of Light Sensitivity and Neurology, through highly patterned imagery. A highlight of Richard’s practice has been the projection of his imagery in Times Square, New York. His recent photographic work is inspired by the idea of sublime portraiture and travel. Richard has been an active artist and educator for over 30 years. [Richard Baldwin, 2024].
