Biography

Charles Abbold arrived in Australia from England around 1850. He produced sketches and a small number of etchings of life on the Bendigo goldfields between 1851 and 1854. A set of 20 humorous ink drawings entitled Life on the Diggings was intended to be produced as etchings but only a few were completed.
