Biography

Prominent English ornithologist John Latham provided the descriptions of the Australian birds in 'The Voyage of Governor Phillip to Botany Bay', London, 1789. Lathan etched his own plates for his 'A General Synopsis of Birds, 1781-1785' and 'A General History of Birds, 1821-1828'.
