Biography

MEREDITH MACLEOD, born Tasmania Meredith Macleod is a Brisbane based artist whose practice focuses on drawing, intaglio printmaking and artist books. My work explores themes relating to social, political and moral issues. Inspired by Henrik Ibsen's play a A Doll's House (1879)\ much of my work considers issues relating to gender equality particularly relating to the psychological imbalance that can occur within the family home. I have a degree in Fine Art (Queensland College of Art) and I run a community based visual art teaching and mentoring business. [Impress Printmakers, 2019].
