Biography
Brother of Ludwik Dutkiewicz.
"Wlad did many series of black and white, mainly felt pen drawings, and coloured some of these with inks and sometimes watercolour. He produced some small hand-pressed editions of linocuts and a few monoprints; the most successful series were produced in the early 1960s and used as catalogue invitations and covers. He had held a large watercolour exhibition in 1953; and his best series of large colour ink drawings dated from the late 1960s. Many of these surviving works, and preliminary sketches of varying degrees of resolution, along with much of his remaining archive, including over 200 original artworks on paper, now reside in the collection of the State Library of South Australia." [Adam Dutkiewicz, April 2010]
