Biography

The Art Workers Union was formed to represent the interests of people in the visual arts. Campaigns have been mounted by the union in support of the payment of artists in publicly-funded exhibitions, copyright and moral rights, health and safety issues, artists and the law, discrimination against women in the art industry, students and art education and employment opportunities for artists.
