Biography
"Dr Ron Edwards began his art training at Gordon Institute of Technology, Geelong and completed it at Swinburne art School, Melbourne. He moved to Cairns, Queensland in August 1959 where he and his wife, Anne (also an artist), set up a gallery. They lived in Kuranda until his death in 2008. He was an artist and author of folklore with 120 books in print, ranging from children's books to Australian bush crafts. Awarded the Australian Order of Merit in 1992, and he was awarded a Doctorate, honoris causa, by Swinburne University in 2000."
