Biography

Gregory Myers, studied in the Canberra School of Art, Graphic Investigation Workshop, 1984-87. At the Workshop, he did a lot of woodblock printing, stone lithography, papermaking, typesetting, and mixed media drawing, in addition to etching.

From 1988, he was the recipient of a Japanese government ‘Monbusho’ post-graduate research scholarship for 18 months and studied at the Printmaking Dept of Kyoto Seika University under Akira Kurosaki. Coincidentally Jorg Schmeisser, who was the head of the Printmaking Department at Canberra School of Art where he did his sub-major, was a guest lecturer there at the same time.

On completion of the scholarship, he moved to Tokyo where I exhibited and worked as a freelance illustrator (scraperboard & digital).

He moved back to Sydney in 2008.
