Biography

WICKSTEED, Emma Ancilla born 4 March 1809 in London, second daughter and fourth child of John Barton and wife Sarah Eliza, nee Lowe. On 17 June 1833 she married John Tylston Wicksteed at St John, Hackney, London. Their two sons, John Tylston and Arthur were born in England. The family arrived in New Zealand at an undetermined date but it was after the birth of their second son (1837). [information courtesy of the Barton family]
