THE AUSTRALIAN ALMANACK,
AND
GENERAL DIRECTORY,
TO BE PUBLISHED AT THE
SYDNEY GAZETTE OFFICE,
WILL contain various splendid embellishments, particularly a copper-plate engraving of
Governor Bourke &. General Darling,
so that the friends of both will possess striking likenesses of their late and present Governors.
The Directory and Almanack published at the Gazette Office will be of equal size and one-third at least cheaper than that printed last year for the Post Office. It will comprise a body of intelligence of general utility; and the subscriber will become possessed of a correct summary of the local laws. The publication can be transmitted to any part of the Colony, through the Post Office, free of charge to the subscriber. Parties desirous of receiving copies of the work are requested to address (post- paid) to the compiler, at the Gazette Office, Sydney; to Mr. Robbins, of Maitland; Mr. Fraser, Penrith; Mr. Scarr, Campbell Town; Mr. Hodghen, Windsor; Mr. Richards, or the Agent for the firm of Ireland and Richards, at Bathurst; and orders for Sydney will be received by Mr. Moffitt, Pitt-street; Mr.Greenfield, King street; or at the Gazette Office.
