Statement:

This series of posters has been exhibited in gallery contexts as well as select public sites. Despite their public visibility they have not been conceived of as didactic or overtly political statements. Pitched at a relatively broad audience, by virtue of their interpretive scope and affordability ($10 per poster), they are designed to entertain, and hopefully, evoke reflection and analysis.

The images and texts are intended to act as cues in a cryptic non-linear narrative, wherein the viewer is asked to construct meaning in a process of re-codification. As such I am attempting to understand and articulate particular ideas and the processes by which they are transmitted and received. I have tried to achieve a degree of un/familiarity and un/equivocality with the selection and arrangement of images and texts that facilitates coherent proposition yet belies certitude.
