Ian McNeilage

Born in Melbourne in 1932, Ian McNeilage studied advertising design at Caufield Technical College from 1949 to 1952. In 1957 he became interested in screenprinting while teaching design at the Melbourne Printing Trade School. From 1959 he taught design at Swinburne College of Technology, becoming the Deputy Head of the department from 1964 and Dean of Visual Arts from 1979.

A member of the Print Council of Australia, he held exhibitions in Melbourne 1963 and 1971.
