Patrice Kaikilekofe

Patrice Kaikilekofe is an artist of Futunian heritage (Wallis and Futuna Islands) who was born in New Caledonia in 1972. He studied at the Ecole d’art de Noumea between 1990 and 1992 and then art, craft and design and Oceanic art history in New Zealand; Kaikilekofe now lives and works in New Caledonia and has exhibited extensively in the region. Both he and Michel Tuffery made an enormous impact at the Asia Pacific Triennial in 1999 for their opening night performance Bull fight.
