Abstract

Kimberly Retrospective and New Works exhibits thought provoking, beautiful lithographs and paintings by local artist Jane Bradhurst. The exhibition is on show at Megalo Gallery from 1-13 October. Dr Bryan Furnass AM will formally open the exhibition at 2pm on 6 October.

Jane has worked with imagery of the Kimberly region since 1986, making visits there in the cooler months of June and July. She was one of the first group of white artists to paint in the famous Bryle Bryle Mountains, wwhich was brought to media attention in 1983.

Jane's works in this exhibition draw attention to the beauty and exceptional qualities of the Kimberly region. Her underlying intention, is to alert the public to possible environmental dangers, such as the proposed damming of the mighty Fitzroy River to provide water for cotton farming. [Megalo PR].
