Abstract

This exhibition, which accompanied Prints and Australia: Pre-Settlement to Present, a major exhibition of Australian prints, posters and illustrated books, part of a series to exhibitions that celebrated the bicentennial of European settlement in Australia, concentrated on the production of printed of images in Australia. It includes printing presses, printing plates, stones and blocks as well as many prints in various working proofs, which show the artist developing his or her ideas.
