Biography
Robin White
Robin White is a major New Zealand artist. She is a painter as well as a printmaker and drawing is an important part of her work. White was born in Te Puke, Aotearoa New Zealand on 12 July 1946. After graduating from the Elam Art School in 1967 and Auckland Secondary Teacher’s College in 1968, White lived for three years at Bottle Creek, Paremata and then moved to Dunedin. In 1982 she and her family moved to the Republic of Kiribati where they lived until 1999. She was artist-in-residence at the Christchurch Polytechnic School of Art in 1992 and the Canberra School of Art in 1995 and 1996. White now lives in Masterton, New Zealand.
