Biography
Frank Dunne was born in Harden NSW in 1898 and was known to his family as Beau. In 1914, at the age of 16, he enlisted with his older brother Bill for military service in the First World War. Together they served with the 1st Field Ambulance. The unit was formed on 24 August 1914 at Queens Park Sydney and went ashore at Gallipoli at 10:00 on the morning of 25 April 1915. They left Gallipoli on 9 September 1915. The unit first saw action on the Western front near Pozieres around 20 July 1916, and went on to work in Mametz, Felrs, Bullicourt and
