Biography

Helen Aitken-Kuhnen was born in 1952. She studied at the Frankston Technical College in 1970 and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1975. In 1977 she continued studies in Germany at the Fachhochschule, Düsseldorf and in 1978 in Great Britain at the Middlesex Polytechnic. Her work has received awards in Australia where she now lives. She is married to the jeweler and metalworker Johannes Kuhnen.
